As a brand, we're constantly striving to improve the quality of our products, including continuing to source kinder-to-the-planet fabrications. Modal has been within our collections since Chelsea Peers began and we're very excited to announce that we've recently updated this to a new and improved fibre called TENCEL™ Modal.

The TENCEL™ Modal production process is based on a highly resource-efficient production technology with high recovery and recycling rates. They are continuously refined to maximize resource efficiency and minimize environmental impact. Beechwood pulp is transformed into fibres through an environmentally responsible closed-loop process, which recycles water and solvents to minimise waste. Consequently, carbon emissions and water consumption of TENCEL™ fibres are at least 50% lower compared to generic modal fibres.
